A plain-language explanation of how Arc Builder uses your information, written to be read rather than as a legal document. Last updated September 24, 2026.
What we collect
The information held in our database.
- Your account: an email address and password.
- What you write: topics, class context, teaching preferences, the arcs and lessons you build, your edits, and your feedback.
- Operational records: when a draft was requested, whether it succeeded, and what it cost. Kept to run the service.
What we never collect
- Student data. No rosters, names, grades, or assessments. You describe your class in general terms.
- Advertising or tracking. None on these pages.
Who can see your work
- You. Your arcs and lessons are private unless you share one with a colleague.
- Compositive administrators, for support and approvals.
- AI services draft from your instructions. They do not receive student data and do not train on your data.
Where it lives
Accounts and content are stored on Google-hosted infrastructure. Access is limited to the application and Compositive administrators.
Your choices
- Delete any arc, and every lesson in it, at any time.
- Ask Compositive to close your account and remove your content.
